Voting as a "write-in"
As a write-in candidate, voters must physically write her name on the ballot. Due to miscommunication from the local media (article below), Frances missed the deadline to file for candidacy on time. Additionally, the school district administrator stated, "Due to the city moving to shorten the filing period this year, the deadline to file was May 30 at 5 p.m." Fortunately, she will run a write-in campaign for the upcoming General Election.
